I am a photographer specializing in contemporary child and family photography. Following in the footsteps of my grandfather, a former wedding photographer, I have always loved capturing just the right moment.
I was born in British Columbia, grew up in Alberta, and currently reside in Southwestern Ontario where I work full time in marketing. As a result I have limited availability and book a maximum of 8 sessions a month.
I have been passionate about photography for many years and am very excited to be offering my services to families across Southwestern Ontario.
I can't wait to take real, modern, engaging photographs of your family!

Everything you need to know
Location, location, location
All photo sessions are done at a location of your choice - this means no tacky back drops! Some popular choices are at home, a lake, a beach, or a local park. Indoor photos are shot with additional lighting if necessary. Outdoor photo sessions may need to be rescheduled due to poor weather - no rain dances please!!!
When can I schedule a session for my family?
Child and Family photo sessions are scheduled on Saturdays, Sundays, and weekday evenings in the summer. Newborn photo sessions take place ideally within the first two weeks after birth. Newborn photo sessions may be scheduled on a week night ensuring they're captured in this time.
The first step in booking a photo session is to contact me. From there we will go over the available dates and decide on the best place and time for your photo session. A deposit can then be made to reserve your date. More information about your deposit and packages can be viewed on the packages page.
Your custom experience
Now that you have reserved your date we will discuss your family as well as any ideas and expectations that you have for the photo session ie. who will be photographed, types of pictures wanted etc.

But what do we wear!?
Okay, what you wear can have a dramatic impact on the results of your photo session...but don't stress too much about it. This is your photo session and you can wear what you want! It's really important that you feel comfortable. If that means jeans and a t-shirt or a princess dress with cowboy boots then that's what I''ll work with!
Some quick tips that might help you pick out your outfits:
- Items with texture are great - ie. sweaters, jeans
- Solid colors work best as loud patterns are very distracting
- Long sleeves are ideal as they bring focus to your face
- Stripes and polka dots can make great pictures- for kids only!
- Bare feet are preferred - if you would like to wear shoes they should coordinate with your outfit or they will be a major distraction
- No logos please! They will quickly date your photos
- Accessories are fun! Hats, cute toys, umbrellas, balloons, necklaces...I could go on forever
- If planning on taking group shots it's best to try and coordinate outfits
There should be time to switch outfits so feel free to bring a few different ones for variety in your shots. Please also make sure that your kids have clean faces, hair, to ensure the best pictures of your family.
